SESSION 01 / 06
How AI changes the way we work
Jee Jun Young
Business major → Journalism · Overseas sales → Software development
iOS · Android · Frontend About 5½ years (sixth year)
Developed iOS/macOS apps for an enterprise collaboration tool
Since 2026 Solo web and server development and commercialization through vibe coding
Before we get to the main topic
What has happened in the market over the past few years
PHASE 1
Developers
Bootcamp employment rates plummet
Big Tech restructuring
PHASE 2
Licensed professionals
Accounting automation · AI legal research
Still licensed, but with less work
PHASE 3
Excel · PowerPoint · Google Drive
— AI does it faster and more neatly
The essentials of office work
Who handles these three most naturally now?
That sounds a little frightening, doesn’t it?
I am
I am here to face reality
and give you time to find a way forward together.
Working life means giving up a lot.
Time, energy, things you want to do.
I want to offer a first step
toward building systems you could not build before.
Financial freedom
The FIRE movement
An income stream of your own
Why did the interest fade?
Because you still had to do all the work yourself.
NOW
AI handles the details
Humans direct
Toward imagining, choosing a direction,
and giving specific instructions.
However
But starting with that knowledge
and starting without it
makes an astronomical difference.
QUESTION
Thinking about how to make that happen
is where vibe coding begins.
HISTORY
Humans have continually built tools
to reduce time spent working.
ERA 1
The time spent preserving food, washing clothes,
and escaping the heat disappeared.
RESULT
More time for people to use productively
ERA 2
Work that once needed ten people
could be done by two or three.
RESULT
More output with fewer people
ERA 3
Work no longer requires sitting in an office.
Approve requests and check data from anywhere.
RESULT
Location constraints disappear
NOW
From using tools
to using AI that makes tools.
RESULT
When Anthropic announces something, SaaS stocks fall.
Refrigerator
Excel
SaaS
AI
One question for you.
Siri, translation, search suggestions — it is already there.
You just may not notice it.
Whether you know how to use the tool or not.

Vibe coding
Today
One working professional.
Reporting every morning, meetings in the afternoon, company dinners at night.
Then home to write until two in the morning.
This person used vibe coding to build a personal program.
A program that produces drafts close to their own writing style.
Drafts. Not finished articles.
Revenue from the program this journalist built
0 won
But here is what they got back
2 a.m.
BEFORE
Midnight
AFTER
The right to two more hours of sleep every day.
I tried a similar experiment.
Someone who had only made iOS apps
tried web and server development for the first time.
Over a weekend, I used vibe coding to build a fiction platform.
I am not saying I built it well.
Just take away the sense that even a beginner could do this much.
“Huh, what is that?” versus “Oh, I tried that once.”
PART 2 — DEMO
→ Click to open Grimoire
PROMPT COMPARISON
First prompt
USER →
“Build me a fiction platform”
— End —
One line. No direction.
Final prompt
USER →
“Based on section 2.3 of the PRD,
implement the signup → fiction submission → reading flow.
Refer to @docs/prd.md
and follow @schema.sql for the DB schema.
Wrap error handling in try-catch
and write Korean error messages.”
Document references + a specific flow + exception-handling instructions
That difference is the difference in the result.
ONE MORE THING
And this deer-demon manuscript
I just clicked on…
I did not
write this either.
I gave Claude just a few hints.
The deer in “The Fairy and the Woodcutter”
might not be an ordinary deer.
I want to try writing horror.
Writers to refer to: Nabokov, Cormac McCarthy
Film director: Quentin Tarantino
That was all. Claude worked out the rest.
I have not finished revising it yet, but it surprised me.
I thought AI only made software. It could write, too.
PART 3 — HANDS ON
GROUND RULE
Today we will use one HTML file.
No server installation or environment setup.
With just a browser, you can see the result immediately.
Try saying this to Claude —
“Make me ___. In one HTML file.”
EXAMPLE
IDEA 1
Your own introduction page
Your name, hobbies, and favorite things
IDEA 2
A countdown
Days until an exam, trip, or birthday
IDEA 3
Your own quote generator
Press a button to display a random quote
Anything is fine. There is no right answer.
What matters is the experience of asking it to do something.
NOW WHAT
One caution — Do not expose your personal API keys when you publish. More in session four.
Remember what I said at the beginning today.
What you need to do now
is turn that interest around.
NEXT SESSION
If you ask Claude tonight to make you an introduction webpage,
the next class will be twice as fun.
EPILOGUE
This presentation — today’s teaching material.
Claude made it, and I corrected it.
That is vibe coding.
You can do it, too.
Thank you.
